Goddess Collection

Orkney is known for its Scandinavian past.  This is what has given me the inspiration for my new goddess collection.  I have focused on only three of the goddesses who I feel are the most inspiring.  These goddesses are Idunn, she is the goddess of youth.  Idunn would have a basket of apples, and give the apples to the gods to eat.  This is where they would get their eternal youth from.  Ran is the goddess of the sea.  Sailors would try to appease her so that they could have safe passage on their ociean voyages.  Finally Valkyrie.  Valkyrie is a group of goddesses who would travel over the battle fields in a cloud of mist.  The Valkyries would collect the soles of the fallen soldiers and send them to sit in Valhala at the great table with Odin or they would go to sit with the goddess Freya.
